A UK-based conservation organization is calling on the British government to incorporate nature time into daily school curriculum. Wildlife Trusts request came after a study that found that kids who participated in nature-based activities had an increase in personal wellbeing and health, and a sense of connection with the natural world. After spending time in nature, the kids said they felt capable of doing new things when they tried, a demonstration of resiliency. University College London’s study found that children experience profound and diverse benefits through regular contact with nature.
