Questions about recycling at home? Check out Recycle Or Not

I see it at work, at home and I hear it when I answer calls at Metro’s Recycling Information Center, recycling can be confusing. The folks at Metro worked with local partners, including many community members to help sort it out and came up with a handy new tool called Recycle or Not. Recycle or Not launched earlier this month with a website and Instagram page, and they both feature single photos of common items that belong and don’t belong in our home recycling bins. Plastic take-out food containers? Not recyclable. Round plastic containers, 6 ounces or larger? Recyclable. If you don’t see your item on the list, you can send a photo or call Metro.
