Weekend Box Office: “Spider-Man: Far From Home” Delivers Record $185 Million Opening
Spider-Man: Far from Home delivered the largest six-day opening ever for a Tuesday release over the Fourth of July weekend. The superhero sequel took the #1 spot at the box office by bringing in an estimated $185 million. In doing so, the film also had the 22nd largest six-day performance of all-time.
Meanwhile, Toy Story 4 finished in a distant second place with $34.3 million and the Beatles-themes Yesterday landed in third place with $10.7 million. Horror flick Annabelle Comes Home took the #4 spot with $9.75 million and Aladdin rounded out the top five by adding $7.6 million.
