Portland Named Best City In The Country For Foodies!
Do you consider yourself a foodie? I’d like to think I am and I am not the least bit surprised that PDX has been named the number one city in the USA for foodies for the 2nd year in a row by Wallethub!
Wallethub described an authentic foodie as someone who “not only craves new and different flavors but also savor the exploratory experience of eating, learning and discovering food.” It’s safe to say Portland has plenty of authentic foodies.
The website found that the Rose City is the best combination of affordability, diversity, accessibility and quality when it comes to what WalletHub calls “foodie friendliness.”
The study compared a range of data, including how accessible fine dining restaurants are, how many food festivals per capita and even how much groceries cost.
Portland placed first ahead of New York City and Miami. Vancouver, WA was named No. 39 and Salem, OR was ranked at No. 63 on the list of 182.
