New Poll Asks: What Are Things You Should NEVER Do In A Movie Theatre

Are you seeing “Glicked” this weekend? “Gladiator 2” AND “Wicked”? It’s this year’s “Barbenheimer.”

Because of the double feature, a new poll looked at what the rules are in 2024 when it comes to movie theater etiquette. Here are the Top 10 things you should never do at a movie . . .

1. FaceTiming someone during the movie. Only 4% think it’s okay.

2. Leaving trash behind when you leave.

3. Taking a phone call.

4. Revealing a plot point out loud before it happens. 6% think that’s fine?

5. Putting your feet up on the seat in front of you.

6. Bringing your dog, unless it’s a service animal.

7. Eating or drinking loudly.

8. Talking at full volume during the movie. 11%, or one in nine people, think it’s okay. (???)

9. Taking photos, or recording video.

10. Yelling at a stranger because THEY did something rude. 17% say it’s okay to do.

At the other end of the spectrum: 92% say it’s okay to get up and use the bathroom during a movie . . . 86% are fine with people applauding at the end . . . and 80% say it’s okay to leave before the movie ends if you don’t like it.
