freePorter McClister is a renowned Nashville country musician. He was lead guitarist and opener for over a decade with Country Music Hall of Fammer Tanya Tucker, and appeared with Willie Nelson, Dicky Betts, George Jones, Charlie Daniel’s, Crystal Gale, Bill Anderson, Holly Dunn, Jim Lauderdale, and Gretchen Wilson. Not only that, Porter’s vocal talents shine through his backing vocals on the “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” soundtrack, specifically on the haunting track “Down to the River,” where he harmonizes with the incomparable Alison Krauss.
Porter McClister’s new duo based right here in Portland, is Box & Bucket. He plays guitar alongside Barbara LePine (Bucket) who plays washtub bass.
LePine is a drummer out of L.A. who was a member of international touring act, “The California Girls,” an all female opening act for The Beach Boys, as well as Steppenwolf, Al Jardine and the Beach Party Band, to name a few. Longtime drummer for the notorious Pasadena CA band, Snotty Scotty and the Hankies.
