Earlier this year, we debuted the 2015 Raptor Ridge Estate Gruner Veltliner by serving it alongside Austrian counterparts. We invited you to attend this comparative tasting, which was complimented by Oregon oysters provided by EaT: An Oyster Bar.
Just a few weeks ago, we once again debuted a white wine in the Raptor Ridge family: the 2015 Auxerrois. This somewhat obscure Alsatian grape was sourced from Zenith Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills, and was accompanied by Auxerrois wines from Domaine Andre Ostertag, Meyer-Fonne, and Domaines Schlumberger. The richness and texture of this grape paired with the traditional flavors of Alsace, as presented by guest chef Paul Bachand of Recipe in Newberg, OR.
We are now offering you the opportunity to attend another such tasting, this one celebrating the fan-favorite 2014 Tempranillo. Recently released to Flight Club Members, the Tempranillo will on December 17th be available to our wider audience, and will be presented alongside European examples of the variety.
Food will be available all evening in this reception-style event.
To pair with the wine, Crown Paella will be cooking in house, preparing a fantastic accompaniment to these wines:
►Cazador Paella Duck Confit, Foraged Mushrooms, Tocino, White Beans, Chorizo, Piquillo Peppers, Pimenton & Saffron
►Verdura Paella Artichoke Hearts, Sweet Peppers, Foraged Mushrooms, English Peas, Saffron, Corona Beans, Sofrito & Fresh Herbs
►Mixed Young Farm Greens with Shaved Apple, French Radish, Freshly Snipped Herbs and Sherry Vinaigrette
►Grand Central Ciabatta with Arbquina Olive Oil
