Coffee chain in Great Britain banning disposable cups

A coffee shop chain in England is banning disposable cups starting June 1st. The Boston Tea Party, yes, that’s their name, has 22 locations. They’ve tried other ways to help reduce waste including offering a 25 pence discount for anyone using their own cup but only 3% of take out customers took advantage of the offer. They’ve been making some smaller changes, like switching to paper straws, but this latest move is pretty bold. As they state on their website, over 95% of the estimated 2.5 billion plastic coated coffee cups used in the UK each year end up in the landfill. What coffee chain in the United States is willing to take a similar stand?
