Five-time Emmy-winner Sheila Hamilton began her career in documentary film before producing and reporting two-decades of television investigative news for such television stations as Portland’s KATU and Salt Lake City’s KTVX.

She has been a weekly political columnist for the Portland Tribune and a freelance feature writer for Portland Monthly and Outside.

Sheila is a frequent musical commentator on KGW’s “Live at 7,” and ventured into reality TV programming as a judge on the show, “Wanted, Adventure Woman.”

Sheila is the news director and Morning Show co-host at KINK. Listen to Sheila from 5:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. She also hosts Kink’s Public affairs program, “Speaking Freely” Sunday mornings at 6:30 a.m.

Sheila is on the board of Girls Inc., an organization inspiring girls to be strong, smart and bold.

She is also a consult to the Children’s Cancer Association.

Her past board appointments include Campfire USA, Friends of Forest Park, Women in Communications, and the Society of Professional Journalists.

She also is frequently called on to emcee events for the Oregon Food Bank, CCA, Chess for Success, Portland Public School fundraisers, and many more.

Sheila is the author of All the Things We Never Knew, due to be published by Perseus/Seal press in November of 2015.

Sheila serves on the board of The Flawless Foundation, a mental health advocacy group that takes a stand for people living with brain illness.
