July 23 - No Passengers
NO PASSENGERS was created in January 2009 with the purpose of bringing a message of motivation and unity to all communities using lyrics sung both in English and Spanish. The band's members are all of Mexican descent and their music has been described as rock & roll with an accent, but vocalist Edna Vasquez brings an original voice to the rock scene that few can match due to her originality and experience as a Mariachi singer.
The band as a whole is definitely inspired by American rock & roll, but their history plays out in their music and the lyrical content captures the struggle that we all face as we try to find acceptance from our peers. |
