Thursday, April 23, 2009 - FREE Portland Ecoroof Vendors Fair
Presented by the City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services
WHY: Ecoroofs replace conventional roofing with a living, breathing vegetated roof system and significantly decrease storm water runoff, save energy, reduce pollution and erosion, and protect fish habitat. Ecoroofs absorb carbon dioxide, cool urban heat islands, filter air pollutants, increase habitat for birds and insects and provide much needed green space for urban dwellers. Ecoroofs last longer than conventional roofs. Portland is at the forefront of this exciting green building movement!
