We know Christmas is in the past. But you have to check this out. What a cool yule present as this Canadian teen drums his way to LA representation.
LITTLE DRUMMER BOY
Just a few weeks after posting a snow-dusted music video of “Little Drummer Boy” to YouTube, Winnipeg high school student Sean Quigley is expanding his media reach to USA TODAY and working closely with his brand new LA talent agent.
Jason MacRay of MacRay Artist Management tells USA TODAY reporter Carly Mallenbaum he tracked Quigley down through the teen’s high school and already has record labels expressing an interest in his client. A great part of the appeal of the video comes from the fact that Quigley decided at the last minute to shoot it outdoors in the winter snow, wearing his trademark drummer shorts.
The video was shot on a Canon Rebel camera, with lots of help in that department from Quigley’s older sister Caitlin.
Could Jake Bugg be the new Bob Dylan? We've heard that line before, but once we've experienced the creative, solid, diverse 14 tracks of his debut "Jake Bugg" CD, it's hard not to go there.
For those of us looking for musical companionship amidst the frenzied pace of daily life, consider American singer-songwriter Josh Ritter's newest "Beast in its Tracks" release.
