I count Rachel Taylor Brown among the more thoughtful and serious types. But over a phone line, who really knows. The new album, and some future shows will tell us more.

RACHEL TAYLOR BROWN IN THE LOCAL MUSIC SPOTLIGHT TONIGHT (10/19) AT 9:15.

The new album, World So Sweet, is a study in contrasts. Even in my conversation with Rachel, on the phone, she goes from acute observations to "OMG, I can't believe I said that, that sounds yucky" moments.

I loved reading Rachel's post in The Vinyl District about her first album loves. It certainly proves to me she has a pretty wonderful sense of humor.

When I had a chance to talk with Rachel on the phone earlier this week,  it was about her life, music, and how it gets done. LISTEN BELOW.
