Lot's of great new music hitting local record stores today. Here are my top three choices. ~ Jason MillerShelby Lynne - Revelation Road
For this album, Shelby wanted to record a personal record. The sound is much more stripped down than other Lynne recordings. Mostly guitar, vocals, and the occasional egg shaker. The single, Revelation Road, has been getting play on Sunday Acoustic KINK, and rightfully so. www.shelbylynne.com

Everlast - Songs of the Ungrateful Living
Hey, this guy! The once rapper from House of Pain has completed his transformation to folky, tell-it-like-it-is trailer-park prophet. A lot of people wrote Whitey Ford off as a one, maybe two hit wonder. But, if you liked the sounds of his one, maybe two hits... he hasn't changed. I for one never have a problem putting on an Everlast album. www.martyr-inc.com

Andrea Simms-Karp - Hibernation Nation
With album cover art that evokes the first solo Paul Simon album comes songstress Andrea Simms-Karp all the way from Ottawa. Expect rootsy songs that evoke cold weather. You know how Jack Johnson albums seem like a soundtrack for the summer? This appears to be the opposite. www.andreasimmskarp.com
