At the Record Store 10/11

Hey! You! Go to the record store! Here's why:
Ben Lee - Deeper into Dream: This singer/songwriter named Ben has previously collaborated with other singer/songwriters named Ben (namely Folds and Kweller). While Lee might not be my favorite of the trio, he has certainly done some worthwhile solo work. My favorite Lee record to date is Awake is the New Sleep (2005). Perhaps this will surpass.
Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers - Gift Horse: Sure the music is a little over produced, but it has that irresistible slight country-pop twang. KINK has been playing these guys since at least 2007, if not before. The band is swinging through Portland in early December. Should be a great show.
Mayer Hawthorne - How do you do: A new album from Mayer Hawthorne, and he's stopping by the Bing Lounge to celebrate! Keep an eye on the Bing Lounge tab for videos, as they will be posted ASAP. As for the album, expect some cool electronic vibes mixed with vintage soul. Quite enjoyable. Quite.
