At the Record Store 9/20

A couple of great female artists are giving you great reasons to swing by your local record store this week.
Tori Amos - Night of the Hunters: Her sweet voice and odd phrasings are BACK! I've always appreciated that Tori has continued to keep a fresh sound, even if it has meant straying from the commercial success she has with "Cornflake Girl" or "A Sorta Fairytale." From the little that I've heard off of this album, it sounds like Tori has invited in a whole orchestra as her backing band.
Lisa Hannigan - Passenger: Lisa, who is perhaps best known as the female voice on Damien Rice's records, is releasing her second solo album. Lisa is a very talented songwriter in her own right, and I thought she had a very solid first solo effort, See Saw. Look for Lisa when she visits KINK to play Live at the Bing Lounge on Oct. 4.
