For Nick Jaina, the idea for The Beanstalks That Have Brought Us Here Are Gone started as the previous album's leftovers. Add a few more songs, and a brilliant concept on the vocal side. Voila!

NICK JAINA IN THE LOCAL MUSIC SPOTLIGHT TONIGHT (8/31) AT 9:15.

Nick dropped off his new album at our studios this week. I was struck by the album cover for starters, having just got off the phone with Colin Meloy and his wife Carson Ellis about their new book, Wildwood.

It just seems, that albums don't have the same thrill of possibility when it comes to the artwork, as say, the vinyl of eras past. But Nick has achieved something special, both outside, and in the music, too. LISTEN TO OUR CONVERSATION, BELOW.
