An inspiring letter if you are looking for work
I was so pleased to see this letter from long time KINK community member Debrah Barr in my inbox this morning...NEVER Give up!
Hey Dave & Sheila - just a shout out to you to
share the good news that I am now employed again after 14 months of looking.
Landed a pretty sweet position with TriMet supporting the new Willamette Bridge
project. I am thrilled and very humbled..about a hundred other people
could have been hired, but they chose me. Wow.
Give your viewers an ecouraging word for me, K? Tell
them to keep the faith, in themselves and in their Higher Power. When they are
walking the floor in the middle of night, asking the big questions, the scary
what-if questions, tell them stress and uncomfortable seasons stretch and
strengthen us, and is but for a season. We come out so much better in the end,
richer for the blessings of many friends and loved ones who encourage us, lend
a hand or, tell us to get a grip and stop worrying so much.
In the meantime, take advantage of the free
libraries, free time, and even the freeways out to our gorgeous state
beauty. Indulge in dreaming and meditating and re-prioritizing.
Share that time. Extra loves for your family, extra time with your friends.
Help those in need by doing good deeds as often as you can. Trust me, it takes
the air out of your own troubles when you see what others are dealing with, and
you come back into your own reality with a refreshed perspective. Free
time is an excellent and non-exhaustible currency.
Thanks for your own kind words when I learned of my lay-off.
I did stay in the here and now, and tried not to look too far ahead - into
worry and stress. I had a wonderful year off - painted and drew lots, saw
beautiful places and enjoyed every minute with my husband, family
and friends. 'Chile, we clicked off 16,000 miles on the Road
King!!!! And a lot fof those miles were for our King of Kings.
Blessings darlins - I start working on the 22nd..next
Monday. WhooooHoooo!!!! Will check in with you soon.
Deb
