The Jeremy Wilson Foundation (JWF) has worked for some time now to help uninsured and under insured muscians in times of medical crisis. Now JWF  brings together the Portland music community to support and educate its next generation of musicians.

PUT THE FUSE TO THE MUSE

Local Portland acts Buoy LaRue, De La Warr, and Jeni Wren will share the stage on this very special night to cap off the 50/50 Music Scholarship Campaign. The JWF 50/50 Campaign’s goal is to bring together 50 sponsors in order to grant 50 full-scholarships to 50 deserving low income kids through the JWF music education program, Blue Room Music Lessons.

Time: Friday, July 13th – Doors at 7pm. Show 8pm – 21 and over
Sliding Scale: $10-$20

Location: The Secret Society
116 NE Russell St.
Portland, OR 97212

More info HERE.

Jeremy and executive assistant Renee Muzquiz dropped by our studios to talk about The JWF and long term goals. Among them, helping kids in Portland access music education. Enjoy our conversation.  We mention Neil de Ponte's recent guest-column in The Oregonian. Check it out HERE.
