Julia Cramer and Tyler Johnson, vocalists in De La Warr, met up as opera students! Another fun fact? They chose De La Warr as a name because Tyler is actually a direct descendent of Thomas Henry West,  the 3rd Baron De La Warr.

DE LA WARR
- pronounced "day la war"

We know there's fierce competition in this town when it comes to music. For good reason. An amazing music scene, it's cheap to live here, and there's a really fun lifestyle one can shape in our little town. So here come 5 musicians from different places. Appearing here in 2010, practically in the same month. And then meeting, making a band. And now a new album, their first, self titled.

  • Catch De la Warr at The Secret Society Friday, July 13 , "A BENEFIT FOR THE JEREMY WILSON FOUNDATION'S BLUE ROOM MUSIC LESSONS PROGRAM"

  • WHAT: Local Portland acts Buoy LaRue, De La Warr and The Jeni Wren Project will come together on this very special night to raise awareness for the The Jeremy Wilson Foundation and its Blue Room Music Lessons Program that offers discounted music lessons and scholarships to low income families in the Portland area.

Stream the album for free  HERE.  And check out our conversation with Julia Cramer below.
