This book initially got my attention for two reasons. Its author is a guy I know from the world of chefs and foodie books, Steven Raichlen. And secondly? The story is set on Chappaquiddick Island on Martha's Vineyard. And it's loaded with images of food, and cooking with amazing ingredients.

I launched into "Island Apart" last w-end and didn't move off my couch that rainy Saturday until the last page had been finished.
