What to expect from a New Jersey band who call themselves "River City Extension"?RIVER CITY EXTENSION
The often dark and deeply moving new album ""Don't' Let the Sun Go Down On Your Anger" is a great place to start if you are new to this gang of 8. Especially so because it contains the great track called "Ballad of Oregon". You can always go back to their earlier material.
There's some comparison to gangly outspreads like Edward Sharpe or Typhoon. Only if by body count. But claps, shouts, horns, violin, trenchant guitar work from Joe, relentless rhythms, and amazing harmonies from the group at large makes them immediately exciting. ~Inessa
