Did watching the Grammy awards get you in the mood for some new music?  Here's what to pick up at your local record store this week ~Jason Miller

Amos Lee - As the Crow Flies: New Amos Lee!  Kind of!  This is a 6 song EP with tracks that, for one reason or another, didn't make it onto Mission Bell.  These kind of albums can be hit or miss in general.  Like deleted scenes of a movie.  Sometimes scenes are outstanding, but they get cut because they don't necessarily flow with the rest of the picture.  Sometimes scenes are cut because they just stink.  You be the judge... I've yet to hear it.

Punch Brothers - Who's Feeling Young Now?: My favorite modern bluegrass band, bar none.  Take that Steve Martin. To be completely honest, I've yet to be blown away by the Punch Brothers, but I've been waiting.  All the pieces are there.  Perhaps this is the album Chris Thile and company put them all together.

Winterpills - All My Lonely Goners: I've had my eye (or ear) on these guys for a long time.  It's acoustic flavored folk-rock, but the vibe is more Elliott Smith than Will Hoge.  The band is indie, so do them a favor and actually go buy an album.  They're releasing a vinyl version on Record Store Day in April.
