Here are some reasons for you to saunter over to your local record store this week ~ Jason Miller

Paul McCartney - Kisses on the Bottom: I suppose love is beginning to get into the air.  At least, so says Sir Paul McCartney.  This is mostly a cover album featuring standards he grew up with.  There are 2 new songs as well, if that seals the deal for you.

Dr. Dog - Be the Void: One of my favorite bands with one of my favorite names.  This new album, being released on Anti- Records, should be more of the wonderful same.  The music is hard to describe.  Actually, no.  It's... good.  Quite good.

Ben Kweller - Go Fly a Kite: Without a doubt, one of the three most talented "Bens" in the band "The Bens."  His songwriting is quirky, but it's always fun.  His website features an audio collage of the beginning and ending of every song on this album.  After listening, I can say with certainty that the album is a bit disjointed.  Perhaps the middle of the songs will help.  P.S. For those wondering, that is an "open E" guitar chord on the cover.
