Michael Kiwanuka is a British soul musician of Ugandan heritage who is signed to Communion Records. He has been compared to Bill Withers and Otis Redding, as well as Van Morrison and the Temptations. On 6 January 2012, the BBC announced that he had won the BBC's Sound of 2012 poll.

Michael Kiwanuka might not have a household name just yet, but you’ll be hearing more about him soon.
